What happens to my pension?
Whilst there is an intrinsic link between the loans made by Portal Portfolio and the growth of your pension fund, there is no link between your loan and your pension. This is an important distinction.
The growth of your pension fund is generated from interest charged on all the loans provided by Portal Portfolio. The funds provide the available capital to Portal Portfolio to enable them to make loans. This is collaborative in nature, with loans being matched by investment, resulting in a stable funding line.
Portal Portfolio’s strict underwriting criteria is in place to specifically ensure a low risk to the funds.
Investing a portion of your pension fund in a low risk, targeted return fund may be a condition for your qualifying for a preferential loan rate. You can also invest in the funds without taking out a loan.
This investment will not be suitable for everyone so Portal Portfolio will arrange for an Independent Financial Adviser from Portal Financial to explain the process, investment and risks in detail with you so you can make a fully informed decision. This is free of charge, and provided as part of the application process.
