Fees you can earn on mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance (PPI)
If your client has been sold PPI/loan insurance alongside any loan in the past six
years then they may have been mis-sold. There are 20 million of these policies out
there. Portal Claims will pay you 20% of our commission once we have won the claim
and collected our fee.
There may be scope for up front payments for our top introducers.
An example of how you may earn substantial commissions
Julian runs a small brokerage dealing with mortgages and secured loans. He employs
three people who on average have about 20 appointments per day.
The recent credit crunch has meant that traditional business has been hard to come
by. To survive means innovation. Julian has recently read about the hefty fines
handed out to the likes of Alliance & Leicester for the mis-selling of PPI. He's
also aware that it is possible to generate revenue from such claims but he doesn't
want the hassle of making them himself. Earning commissions by becoming an introducer
to Portal Claims seems like the sensible thing to do.
At the end of each appointment (or phone call) the subject of financial compensation
is bought up. Since loans and mortgages are being discussed it's a natural thing
to talk about. On at least half of the calls made a client will have one or more
loans which have PPI attached.
This being the case it is explained that it is possible to reclaim the PPI. The service
is offered on a no win - no fee basis, so the client doesn't have to pay anything
up front. On average it takes about 10 weeks to complete a claim and the amount
that we can expect to reclaim is about a third of the value of the loan. So if they
have a £10,000 loan they should expect to be able to reclaim about £3000.
It's a no brainer. Your client could get a substantial sum and it won't cost them
a penny up front. They only have to pay 25% plus VAT of anything we win, so if we
don't win anything they don’t pay anything!
Of the 20 calls Julian's staff make each day about a half result in a client wanting
to make a claim. That's about 10 claims. These claims are submitted to Portal Claims.
On average we win about 70% of claims and the average value of each claim is about
£2500. Our fees are therefore £625 + VAT. We pass on 20% of these net fees to Julian,
so on an average day at the height of the credit crunch Julian is still earning
£875 daily or £3,500 per week.WINNER!
